The head coach of the German national team, Joachim Low, was forced to make changes after a surprising 0:1 defeat to the Mexican team.
In the crucial match against Sweden, J. Low left one of the biggest stars of the team, Mesut Ozil, on the bench. Nevertheless, the German, who had a poor performance in the first game, did not disappoint the coach by missing the match.
"After the match against Sweden, Ozil showed a great reaction in training, the kind I expected from all players who did not play. Therefore, everyone will be in my choice for the match against South Korea. I think we have 18 players who can play. Sebastian Rudy cannot play, as there has not been enough time since he broke his nose in several places.
He could play with a mask, but it would be inappropriate. All 18 players will be ready except for Jerome (received a red card, ed. note). Hummels can play, he has already trained and has no problems," said J. Low.
J. Low was also asked about the criticism that Thomas Muller has been receiving in this championship.
"After the match against Mexico, we had a long conversation, watched videos and analyzed his game. He is open to criticism and very self-critical. We talked about certain elements and he knows the situation. He is a player who, despite negativity, looks forward, always has a positive attitude and is very important to us," added J. Low.
