Germany's national team coach Joachim Low revealed that Serge Gnabry could have become a world champion in 2014.
The 24-year-old footballer, who has been showing amazing form this season, is not only becoming a leader of Bayern Munich, but also a new attacking star of the German national team.
According to the coach, S. Gnabry was only stopped by injury since his trip to Brazil for the World Cup.
"In the spring of 2014, I visited London several times. He played in some Arsenal matches and left a very good impression. I was planning to include him in the national team lineup, but unfortunately, he got injured," Low recalled.
"In the latest national team matches, he looks very strong. I like his movement on the field and his play in the penalty area. I am happy that he has the opportunity to play at the highest level. We need to further encourage and support him.
He has earned his place in the national team with his performances and will play with us every time he is ready," Low expressed his confidence in the player.
