J. Lowas: "We Didn't Play Up to Our Potential"

Joachim Low after the unsuccessful fourth European Championship qualifying match fell due to the team's potential not being shown. Starting the qualification with three victories, Germany on Friday, in front of their own audience, acknowledged the superiority of the Netherlands national team - 2:4. The Germans were the first to score in these matches and even managed to equalize the result, but the Dutch did not forgive the hosts for mistakes in defense. "We played below our abilities," said J. Low. "Despite having a slight advantage, at no moment did I feel that we had control of the match." A fair amount of criticism fell on the central defender duo - Niklas Sule and Jonathan Tah: "They do not lack skill. They prove it by playing for their clubs week in and week out. Both players are still young and will gain the necessary experience." Speaking about the upcoming match on Monday against Northern Ireland, J. Low added: "We have to make certain tactical changes. This opponent plays a completely different style of football. Most of them will defend in their half and try to make as many long passes as possible."
