J. Maddison's fantastic strike secures victory against "Tottenham"

At 14:30, the second round of the sixth round of the English Premier League took place.

Leicester City hosted Tottenham from London. After the first half, the visitors were in the lead - the "Foxes" scored two goals in the second half and celebrated victory with a score of 2:1.

After the victory, Leicester temporarily moved into second place, while Tottenham dropped to fifth place.

The match started with a fairly even game from both teams - neither team had real opportunities to score in the first 10 minutes.

In the 17th minute, the first goal was scored, but it was disallowed a few minutes later. The decision was correct - Ayozas Perez was offside, so Wilfredo Ndidi's goal was disallowed.

Shortly after that, a clear goal was scored, but the ball ended up in the home team's net - in the 29th minute, Harry Kane managed to reach the ball and direct it into the opponent's goal while falling to the ground.

In the second half, Leicester activated their forces in attack. In the 67th minute, Tottenham scored the second goal, but their triumph was short-lived - Serge Aurier's goal was disallowed due to Heung-min Son's marginal offside.

Tottenham, who could have had a two-goal advantage, soon felt the bitter side of football - almost during the next attack, the "Foxes" equalized when Ricardo Pereira scored accurately after Jamie Vardy's pass.

In the 85th minute, Tottenham players were left to regret - James Maddison, from about 25 meters, left no hopes for Paulo Gazzaniga with a long shot and extended the victory for the home team.

Result:

Leicester 2 - 1 Tottenham

29' [0 - 1] H. Kane

69' [1 - 1] R. Pereira

85' [2 - 1] J. Maddison
