J. Martinez, who went to China, became one of the highest-earning footballers in the world

O

ne after another, famous football players are being lured to China, offering impressive salaries for the most expensive winter transfer window purchases.

Just recently, 29-year-old striker Jackson Martinez cost the Chinese club Guangzhou "Evergrande" as much as 42 million euros, even though before the season he strengthened the Madrid "Atletico" team for a sum of 35 million euros.

During the six months, J. Martinez was unable to break into the starting lineup of the "Rojiblancos" team, but this did not deter the Chinese. They decided to pay an impressive sum not only for the player himself but also to pay him one of the highest salaries in the world.

"Evergrande" will pay Martinez 12.5 million euros a year. Earning such money, the striker will become the fifth football player in the world in terms of receiving the highest salary.

For J. Martinez, Cristiano Ronaldo (21 million euros), Lionel Messi (20 million), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (16 million) and Thomas Muller (13.5 million) still earn more.
