"Barcelona" defender Javier Mascherano thinks that until the end of his career he will not be able to maintain the level demanded by the Catalan club.
The Argentine has been representing the UEFA Champions League winners since 2010, when he arrived from "Liverpool" for 24 million euros.
Although he has won 13 trophies with the team, the football player, even while still at "Barca", will not hang up his boots just yet.
"I do not think that will happen," Mascherano told Clarin about ending his career at "Barca".
"There will come a moment when due to my age and especially my physical abilities, I will not be able to maintain the high level required by 'Barcelona'.
"Playing from 60 to 70 matches per season is not easy. I will have to represent a club that my future physical form will suffice for."
"However, I will still see how much time I can give all my strength."
Mascherano also mentioned that he may return to play in Argentina. He started his career with Buenos Aires' "River Plate".
