Former "Barcelona", "Liverpool", and Argentinian national team midfielder Javier Mascherano has decided to put an end to his professional career. The 36-year-old footballer recently played in his homeland, defending the honor of the "Estudiantes" club, with whom he had a contract until the end of the season, but decided not to wait for it and announced the end of his career earlier. Mascherano spent the majority of his career, from 2010 to 2018, at "Barcelona", where he played in a total of 334 matches. The defensive midfielder won the UEFA Champions League twice with "Barca" and became the Spanish champion five times. The Argentine managed to play 147 matches for his national team.
