Javier Mascherano's career stage in the Chinese Super League is over.
The former defender of "Barcelona" and "Liverpool" clubs is returning to play in Argentina. The 35-year-old player has signed with La Plata's "Estudiantes" team.
After leaving "Barcos", J. Mascherano played for Hebei's "China Fortune" club, where he played a total of 51 matches.
Before arriving in Europe, the Argentine wore the jerseys of Buenos Aires' "River Plate" and "Corinthians" teams.
J. Mascherano ended his career in the Argentine national team after the 2018 World Cup.
