Juan Mata believes that despite the impressive form of "Manchester City", the fight for the Premier League title is not over yet.
So far, the "City" has won 14 out of 15 matches and firmly leads ahead of the team represented by the Spaniard, "Manchester United".
However, the midfielder reminds that the season is far from over. Moreover, the "Red Devils" could potentially take points away from the other Manchester club already this weekend.
"They are doing well and winning many matches," Mata said. "They score great goals, but I think we are doing our job as well. On Sunday, we will try to show that we can play very good football and fight for three points."
"This is a very special clash, we all know it, especially because of our positions in the league table."
"We will play against City at Old Trafford and it is one of those matches that everyone wants to play - one of those truly special matches that the Premier League has."
Mata does not believe that the opponents will continue at the same pace throughout the whole season.
"It's hard for anyone to win every match, so we are waiting for that (City to drop points - ed. note)," the Spaniard added.
"It's very tough, especially in the Premier League. When you play against Watford, Stoke, West Ham, or anyone else away, then it's difficult to win every match, and we need to be prepared if they drop points."
"I remember a few seasons ago, when United were leading City by eight points, City won because of a better goal difference."
"It's a crazy league and thinking that it's already over is premature - City will tell you the same."
