J. Mata extended contract with "Man Utd" for another year

Juan Mata will not say goodbye after the season with "Manchester United" - the "Red Devils" informed on their official website that they have extended the contract with the Spaniard until 2019.

The 29-year-old midfielder's contract with "Man Utd" was set to expire this upcoming summer, but both parties took advantage of the clause in the contract that allowed for the extension for additional years.

J. Mata stated on the official website: "I am still happy to be part of this club. I believe that everyone who is in this club feels privileged, as I feel being able to wear the jersey of this team."

The Spanish national team midfielder arrived in Manchester in January 2014, when he was acquired from "Chelsea" for 46 million euros. During this time, the Spaniard played in 172 matches and scored 39 goals.

J. Mata won four titles with the "Man Utd" team in four years.
