J. Mata is ready to extend contract with "Man Utd"

"Manchester United" pushed forward in negotiations for a new contract with attacking midfielder Juan Mata, as reported by "Sky Sports."

The current 31-year-old Spaniard's contract with the "Red Devils" will expire at the end of this month, and the player's services have been actively sought after by "Barcelona" for some time.

However, it seems that "Man Utd" managed to convince the Spaniard to stay in England and sign a new contract with the club. The Manchester team has been trying to negotiate with the player for some time now and offered a one-year contract, but J. Mata wants to sign a contract at least twice as long.

The "Red Devils" have already lost Ander Herrera this summer, who left the club as a free agent.

Last season, J. Mata played 32 matches, scored 6 goals, and provided 4 assists.
