J. Mata: "Man Utd" still has to fight for a ticket to the Champions League

"Manchester United" defender Juan Mata did not rush to claim that the "Red Devils" already have one foot in the UEFA Champions League after a convincing victory in the Manchester derby.

The "Man Utd" team led by Louis van Gaal defeated "Man City" footballers with a score of 4-2 in yesterday's match. After the victory, the "Red Devils" firmly hold onto third place, with a 9-point gap separating them from fifth place and missing out on the Champions League.

"This is a big step towards the Champions League", Mata said after the match. "It is a big win and a boost of confidence in our abilities".

"However, "Arsenal", "Man City" and "Liverpool" are great teams and they will fight until the last round", the Spaniard added regarding the ongoing battle for the top four.

"The first 10-15 minutes against "City" were tough, but later we showed our character. We achieved a great result and the team is very happy", Mata concluded.
