"AC Milan" footballer Jeremy Menez has no doubt that his team is capable of returning to the UEFA Champions League next year.
Currently, in the "Serie A" championship, the "rossoneri" are in fourth place, with just one point separating them from third-placed Roma and a Champions League qualifying spot. After Wednesday's 1-1 draw against "Cagliari," Milan's team is now undefeated in fourteen consecutive matches.
Filippo Inzaghi's players stumbled only once this season - against the champions Juventus - and Menez believes that the eighteen-time "Scudetto" winners will bounce back from last year when they finished only in eighth place in the Italian league.
"I think the most important thing is that apart from the match against Juventus, we haven't lost anymore," the Frenchman said at a press conference.
"We have a good team spirit and we must continue this performance. On Sunday, we need to get back on the winning path. It would be a shame not to make it to the Champions League with the current lineup. If we all work in the same direction, I believe we can achieve it."
A member of the French national team, who arrived in Italy from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2013, Menez has scored three times in nine games this season. He also mentioned that he has not yet reached his best sporting form, as injuries continue to hamper him.
