Shaking up European football, the establishment of the Super League involving 12 European clubs continues to stir up controversy. On Monday, after the match against Leeds, "Liverpool" veteran James Milner spoke about the creation of the new league, expressing his hope that this project will not be implemented after all. "I don't like the Super League and I hope it won't happen. This is just my opinion. There has been a lot of criticism about the creation of this league and I largely agree with it," Milner told Sky Sports. "Liverpool" faced protesting fans against the Super League before Monday's match. Milner was disappointed by the behavior of these fans. "The team's meeting before the match that night was unfair to us. We just came to play football," added the Englishman.
