On Wednesday, as reported by the Valencia club, former Spanish national team goalkeeper Jose Molina has agreed to move to Levante. The 36-year-old goalkeeper left La Coruna, where he represented for the last six years. According to Levante, the player's transfer will take place after he passes a medical examination.

In 1996, J. Molina helped Atletico Madrid win a double by winning the Spanish Primera Liga and the King's Cup. In 2002, the player won the Spanish championship with the Deportivo team.

This goalkeeper received a lot of media attention in the autumn of 2002, when he announced that he was leaving football indefinitely due to diagnosed testicular cancer. However, the determined player managed to overcome the cancer and returned to football just three months later.

Levante managed to take 3rd place in the lower Spanish league last year and thus earned the right to compete in the Primera division. However, on Tuesday their first match against the UEFA Cup holders Sevilla ended tragically – the club lost 4-0 and is now at the bottom of the table.
