J. Mourinho believes that a goal will help A. Martial forget personal problems

"Manchester United" head coach Jose Mourinho hopes that the goal scored against the "Stoke" team will help Anthony Martial forget his problems at home and return to his former form.

During the weekend's "Premier" league match, the 20-year-old Frenchman rose from the bench in the second half and marked a beautiful goal for the first time this season.

Although the match ended in a draw, Mourinho admitted after the game that Martial "needed this goal" because the young footballer has not been showing the same form as he did last year.

It is believed that the "Man Utd" coaching staff is concerned that the divorce of Martial and his girlfriend Samantha, with whom he has a child, may have negatively affected the player's performance, wrote "The Telegraph".

After guiding the team through the pitfalls under Louis van Gaal's coaching, the Frenchman who arrived in Manchester from "Monaco" last season scored 17 goals in 49 matches.

However, during the European Championship last summer, Martial played only 68 minutes for the French national team that made it to the final, and his best form did not carry over into this season.

The "United" is worried that Martial's attention was distracted by the divorce and public gossiping, when his partner Samantha Jacquelinet accused him of changing when they arrived in England.

Former "Man Utd" manager van Gaal claimed that he signed the player with the future of the team in mind, and Mourinho himself believes that the forward can become one of the best players in the world if he behaves properly.

It is believed that Mourinho has spent some of his time talking to Martial in an attempt to redirect his focus to football and hopes that he will start showing his best game again.

Last September, "Man Utd" paid 50 million euros for the footballer. After Martial scores 25 goals for the club, plays at least 45 minutes in 25 French national team matches, and is nominated for the "Golden Ball" award, "United" will have to pay an additional 10 million.

Meanwhile, for the matches against Italy and Albania, Ander Herrera was called up to the Spanish national team for the first time, replacing the injured Bayern Munich defender Javi Martinez.

The 27-year-old footballer, along with his wife and daughter, briefly traveled to Madrid when he received a call from the federation, and after 45 minutes of training, he was already asking coach Julen Lopetegui for instructions.
