J. Mourinho: calm week ahead

During the press conference, the chief team coach Jose Mourinho admitted that he hopes for a "very quiet" week, which will be the last in the transfer window for players.

The Portugal national team has transferred four new football players to the team: Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Paul Pogba. Some young football players have also left the team - some on loan, while others will not return to "Old Trafford" stadium.

The summer transfer window closes on August 31st, and Mourinho said: "I have 23 players in my squad and no one should arrive or leave anymore."

"Twenty-three players are more than enough, and if we have problems or opportunities, then I will call up young players from the club's academy and I will be very happy to help them improve," he said.

"I really like Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, but he will go to Wolverhampton because I have Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo, and Daley Blind. They can all play on the left side of defense," he added.

"I think we will have a quiet week, we will not be surrounded by rumors waiting for someone to arrive or leave. I am more than satisfied with the squad I have," Mourinho said.

Portugal also spoke about the Europa League draws: "The Europa League this year is very strong because there are groups that are equal to the Champions League, so it is beneficial for us. I will also be able to give a chance to players who play less frequently," he said.

"I know that this group will not be easy, but I think it's for the best. If we play against weak teams lacking character, then even for fans at 'Old Trafford' stadium it wouldn't be enjoyable. It benefits players and fans, as such matches will help maintain motivation. It is also beneficial for the tournament, which does not have the same appeal and interest as the Champions League. Having a team like 'Man United' in the competition is only beneficial," Mourinho explained.

"Fenerbahce" and "Feyenoord" clubs are teams of Champions League caliber. Trips to Istanbul and Rotterdam will be really tough, so these are good draws for us," Mourinho concluded.
