London's Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho disagreed with Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale's statements that La Liga is the most powerful national championship on the planet.
"Bale speaks like this because he plays there himself. You could agree with his thoughts, but I also had the opportunity to be there," Mourinho said.
"I triumphed in the Spanish league, I lost there, so I can accurately describe the differences between the championships of Spain and England," he added.
"Going to a match knowing you will definitely win is not the best thing. In Spain, everyone knows that those two teams are the best in the world. The third team, Atletico, is also doing very well and they won the title of champions last year, which is not common," Mourinho stated.
"However, after them, there is a huge gap, and 100 points, 126 goals in England are impossible. If someone achieves such numbers, then it is not the best league. They may have the best team, not necessarily the best league," he concluded.
