The head coach of "Manchester United" Jose Mourinho was satisfied with the team's performance in the last UEFA Europa League group stage matches and gave the highest compliments to Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The 27-year-old midfielder who plays in a defensive and attacking position had not been included in the "Red Devils" match lineup for the past few months. Mourinho had been saying for a long time that the Armenian player was struggling to adapt to the new environment and style of play.
Signed from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who was a big hope for "Man Utd" fans, is finally starting to live up to expectations. The Armenian shone in the last Premier League match against Everton and scored a goal in the Europa League match against Zorya, playing exceptionally well.
"He has a strong mentality," Mourinho said at a press conference after the match. "He is very determined to fight for adaptation, and so far he is doing it very successfully."
"He has been working hard physically and tactically in recent months, and we knew he had talent when we signed him. He has been striving to improve his game and is now performing well in all the tournaments we play. He is now more confident in himself, and I am happy about that," the coach concluded.
Mkhitaryan's goal in the Europa League was his first wearing the "Man Utd" jersey in official matches.
