On Thursday evening in Istanbul, Fenerbahce will host Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League match.

The Turkish club is managed by former Man Utd coach Jose Mourinho. According to the Portuguese, the "Red Devils" should not be afraid of Fenerbahce's challenge.

"I don't think Man Utd should be afraid of Fenerbahce. However, they certainly realize that it won't be easy in Istanbul. If they think it will be an easy match, then they will have serious problems," Mourinho stated at the press conference.

The Portuguese managed United from the summer of 2016 until December 2018 and during that time won the UEFA Europa League, and in the 2017-2018 Premier League season, they finished only behind Manchester City.

During the press conference, Mourinho hinted that he still believes in Man Utd's chances of receiving the 2017-2018 Premier League trophy if Manchester City is punished for violations of financial fair play rules.

"I wish Man Utd the greatest success. I felt happy being at this club, with which I managed to win the Europa League. I left the team with warm feelings for both the club and the fans. If United is not doing well, I cannot be happy."

I believe the club can still receive a favorable decision and obtain the 2017-2018 Premier League trophy if Manchester City receives the appropriate punishment. In that case, I hope to be awarded a medal and a bonus," Mourinho added with a smirk.
