After the match against Leicester City, Jose Mourinho admitted that he feels betrayed by his team's players.
Chelsea lost the game 1-2, and after the match Mourinho emphasized that his players did not follow his instructions as they should. The coach also mentioned that last year he helped the team to reach their full potential and win the Premier League.
"Both goals we conceded are unacceptable to me. I know that one of my best qualities is reading the game, understanding every detail of the opponent's play, and passing that on to my players. I feel betrayed by them because all my work has gone to waste. It is hard for us to score goals when there are footballers in the team who are not at their best level. When you have such players in important positions, winning becomes very difficult."
"Throughout last season, I did a phenomenal job and brought the players to a level that was much higher than it really is," Mourinho said, according to Sky Sports.
After the defeat, Chelsea is in 16th place in the Premier League, with only one point separating them from the 18th position, which would mean relegation to the Championship division.
