The chief coach of "Manchester United" Jose Mourinho stated that if he had come to the club earlier, he would never have sold players like Angel Di Maria and Javier Hernandez.
After a fantastic last season at Real Madrid, A. Di Maria arrived in Manchester for 75 million euros, where, despite some great moments, he did not prove his worth and left for Paris Saint-Germain after the season.
"When I first arrived here, I found a sad situation in the club. "Man Utd" sold players that I would never have sold, and also bought players that I would never have bought," - said J. Mourinho to the BBC.
"I would never have sold Di Maria, Chicharito, or Danny Welbeck. No chance they would have left us," added the strategist.
J. Mourinho also mentioned last summer's newcomers - Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
"Pogba is not easy, because football here is different from Italy. I am not disappointed in him, I know his character, his professionalism, so I believe he will greatly improve his game.
Zlatan doesn't surprise me at all. I know him, I know his character, I know his endurance and ambitions. For these reasons, I invited him to the club," added J. Mourinho.
