J. Mourinho: If I were a defender of "Man Utd", I would be angry at my attackers

Jose Mourinho was very satisfied with the team's work after the draw in the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals, and the criticism was directed at the attacking players who failed to capitalize on numerous opportunities.

In the first quarter-final match held yesterday in Belgium, at the end of the match between Brussels' "Anderlecht" and "Manchester United," the score remained tied. After Henrikh Mkhitaryan's goal, the "Red Devils" led for a long time and dominated every inch of the field, but the hosts managed to secure a draw.

J. Mourinho stated after the match that there was a lot of sloppy play on the field, but the reliable defenders saved the situation.

"We attacked without understanding, too easily, and often lost the ball. Our counterattacks were interrupted by poor decisions and poor ball handling," Mourinho commented on the quality of play.

"Opponents were getting opportunities to attack quickly. Luckily, our defenders played well today and solved all the problems. However, if I were a 'Man Utd' defender, I would be angry at my attackers," added the coach.

The return leg at the "Old Trafford" stadium will take place next Thursday.
