Jose Mourinho entered the press conference room after about a year's break - smiling, the Portuguese made a promise to the fans of London's "Tottenham".
According to the new "Tottenham" manager, the team can no longer aim for the English Premier League title this season, but these ambitions will be transferred to the next season.
"We can no longer aim for the Premier League title, but we can do it next season. Of course, I'm not saying that it will happen," - said the Portuguese.
Mourinho: "I am humble"
Mourinho five minutes later asked if he thinks losing the Champions League final affected the Spurs squad: "I don't know because I never lost a Champions League final"
"I am happy with the decision to come to this club. I understand that this work will not be easy, as the situation is not good when you have to change the coach in the middle of the season.
The potential that this club has is huge, just like the potential of all the players in this team. One of the reasons I came here is that Daniel Levy (Tottenham chairman - ed.) has a vision that I like. I know that I potentially have great work in my hands," continued J. Mourinho.
The Portuguese is returning to the English Premier League for the fourth time. He has twice coached London's Chelsea, once Manchester United, and now the North London team.
"I always said that the Premier League is my natural habitat, I always felt best here. I consider this league the best in the world and the most appealing. I am extremely happy to be able to return," added the strategist.
"I arrive, I wear the pyjamas of the club and even sleep in them!" ????????
