„Manchester United” coach Jose Mourinho is still angry after his team's performance over the weekend, when they lost to the worst team in the Premier League - "West Brom".
J. Mourinho's players are facing a busy week - tomorrow they will compete with "Bournemouth" in the country's championship, and on Saturday they will fight against "Tottenham" for a place in the FA Cup final.
When asked if he plans to rotate the squad ahead of the important FA Cup showdown, J. Mourinho said that he will play those players who deserve it.
"Rotation is not the right word - if a player has a phenomenal game tomorrow, why shouldn't I use his services in the semifinal", - said the strategist.
"So, there will be no rotation, as it would seem that a player who rested against "Bournemouth" gave way to someone who will play in the semifinal. That won't happen.
There will be a different rotation - it will be an opportunity to play well against "Bournemouth" and secure a spot in the semifinal. For example, some guys who played against "West Brom" no longer have a place in the match against "Spurs"," continued the Portuguese.
When asked if these are the same players who did not perform well against "West Brom", J. Mourinho replied: "Yes. What other criteria should a team coach choose?
I only know one criterion - it is the players' performances on the pitch. That is the only way I select my players. What more can you expect? Do you think I should choose based on their price, their salary, or their appearance? The only way to earn playing time is through good performance."
It is believed that after the match against "West Brom", the strategist had trouble with Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez.
