Jose Mourinho confirmed that Paul Pogba will be ready for Friday's match against Southampton and should step onto the field wearing Manchester United's jersey for the first time after his record-breaking transfer.
The midfielder has not yet played any friendly matches with the team, and missed the first Premier League match due to suspension. His debut could happen tomorrow - Mourinho says the player is already prepared to step onto the field.
"When we played against Leicester City, we had players who were even less prepared than Pogba, and their performance on the field allowed them to improve their physical condition and speed up the adaptation process. Paul's situation is similar - he hasn't played a minute yet, but he has been training with us for almost two weeks. Sometimes he worked individually, sometimes with the team, but he is ready to get some minutes on the field," Mourinho told MUTV.
The Red Devils' match against Southampton will take place tomorrow at 22:00.
