London's "Chelsea" coach Jose Mourinho accused the team's fans of quietly supporting their own team and compared the game at "Stamford Bridge" to playing in an empty stadium.
"The Blues" yesterday maintained a four-point lead over second-placed "Southampton" when they beat another London team, "Queens Park Rangers," 2-1 thanks to goals from Oscar and Eden Hazard.
These matches were tougher for the "Chelsea" players than usual, and Mourinho believes that poor support in the stands also played a role.
"Everyone knows how strongly I feel connected to this club and the fans," - said the Portuguese to journalists. "At the moment, it's hard for us to play at home because it feels like playing in an empty stadium."
"The team then starts to play as if it were a silent and dull match. In that case, it's hard to start the game powerfully."
"I looked around the stadium and it was empty. Of course, I'm not talking about people, because there were quite a few of them. It was very disappointing."
