Despite a disappointing start to the season, London's Chelsea strategist Jose Mourinho joked that the "aristocrats" will fight for the treble this season.
The specialist from Portugal compared the first game of the season against Swansea, which ended in a 2-2 draw, to similar starts with the Porto and Inter Milan clubs, which Mourinho led to three trophies in one season in the past.
However, Mourinho also mentioned another less funny suspicion, according to which his teams do not perform well against coaches whose surnames start with the letter P.
The last losses of the strategist in the Premier League were suffered against teams led by Tony Pulis, Gus Poyet, Alan Pardew, Mauricio Pochettino, and Manuel Pellegrini. Interestingly, this weekend the "aristocrats" will face the aforementioned Pulis, coaching West Bromwich.
"I wouldn't disagree with diverting to the suspicious side of the game: I never win against P," Mourinho said.
"Also, in those seasons when I started with a 2-2 draw at home, I won the treble. That was the case with Porto, Inter played like this against Bari, and now we played 2-2 against Swansea. So, maybe we will fight for the treble this season?"
However, the memory of the Portuguese was slightly deceived - the mentioned Inter match ended in a 1-1 draw, but Porto started their most successful season in 2002-2003 with a 2-2 draw against Belenenses.
