"Lyon" president Jean-Michel Aulas revealed that the head coach position was offered to Jose Mourinho.
"Lyon" is forced to look for a new coach because Brazilian Sylvinho was dismissed from his duties. It has now been revealed that one of the candidates to replace him was Portuguese.
"We exchanged a few enticing messages, but he refused to meet with us and discuss the possibility of becoming the team's coach. He declined to do so because he has already chosen another club," said the "Lyon" president.
In recent times, Mourinho has been linked with Real Madrid, but there is currently no doubt about Zinedine Zidane's job at the Spanish capital team.
It is believed that the Portuguese is looking to return to the Premier League, and the offers he may have received have come from London's Tottenham or Liverpool's Everton clubs.
Meanwhile, Laurent Blanc, Remi Garde, and several other coaches are also vying for the Lyon coaching position.
