The head coach of the German national team, Julian Nagelsmann, stated that there were not even any major discussions about who will be the main goalkeeper of this team at the European Championship:

"There are not even any discussions about the role of the main goalkeeper. Manuel Neuer is and will be the main goalkeeper.

I will not allow any discussions to prevail on this matter, even if someone wanted to provoke them."

Currently, Manuel Neuer is 38 years old and this could be one of his last championships in his career.
