Both clubs have officially confirmed that Hoffenheim coach Julian Nagelsmann will be coaching RB Leipzig from the 2019-2020 season.
Since 2016, the specialist leading the Hoffenheim team twice in a row led them to the top four of the Bundesliga, and in the upcoming season they will compete in the UEFA Champions League.
The 30-year-old has been linked with London's Arsenal, Munich's Bayern and Madrid's Real, but first he will gain more experience in his homeland.
"It was important for me to secure clear conditions," Nagelsmann told Hoffenheim's official website.
"I owe it to Hoffenheim and all its employees, as well as the team and fans, so I want to announce in advance that during this historic season, when we will play in the Champions League for the first time, they won't have to speculate constantly about my future. Now everyone knows and we can focus on the upcoming challenges," he added.
"Everyone knows that I will be burning and doing everything to achieve our ambitious goals until the very last hour in the Hoffenheim club."
Nagelsmann's successor is still uncertain.
