The changes in the Madrid "Real" club could push the 27-year-old Colombian James Rodriguez back to the Spanish capital.
According to the Spanish media, J. Rodriguez had a brief conversation with Julen Lopetegui a few weeks ago, who, unlike Zinedine Zidane, believes that the Colombian can become an important part of the team.
According to the radio station "Cope", J. Rodriguez gave a clear answer to the new "Real" coach - he would gladly return to Madrid, but there is a negotiation issue between "Bayern" and "Real".
J. Rodriguez is still not officially part of the "Bayern" team - the "Bavarians" loaned him for two seasons last summer, but they currently have control of the situation.
The contract does not stipulate that "Real" has the right of first refusal. "Bayern" could acquire all rights to the footballer for around 40 million euros next summer without any interference from a Madrid team.
However, there is a possibility that "Bayern" would allow J. Rodriguez to leave at his request, but the Madrid team would have to pay the same 40 million euros for it.
The footballer's father also mentioned his son's desire to play in Madrid again: "Madrid is currently in the negotiation process. I think Lopetegui has an important role planned for James in the playing strategy.
I know that James had a brief conversation with Lopetegui. He is satisfied with the situation at Bayern, where he can play regularly, but everyone knows how much he has loved Madrid since childhood."
J. Rodriguez, who cost "Real" 75 million euros in 2014, has played a total of 110 matches for the club and scored 36 goals.
