According to his close friend and "Sheffield Wednesday" defender Jose Semedo, former "Real" forward Cristiano Ronaldo would like to return to the Premier League.
The 30-year-old gave an interview after his team's 3-0 victory against "Arsenal" club, and revealed that deep down he feels that the former "Manchester United" leader will return to England before the end of his career.
"He is very happy in Madrid. However, he loves English football and the country itself, as well as the people living there, so I feel that he will return to England.
He does not want to end his career without returning to the Premier League. Ronaldo has told me that he would like "Real" to move to England, but everyone understands that this is unrealistic. Therefore, I believe that Ronaldo will return to the Premier League and finish his football career there," Semedo said, speaking to talkSPORT about his former teammate at Sporting Lisbon.
During his six seasons at Manchester United, Ronaldo played 292 matches. The Portuguese moved from England to the Spanish capital in the summer of 2009, for a then-record £80 million fee.
