"The main goal is for the season to be extended until mid or end of May. In that case, it would be possible to finish on June 30," Javier Tebas told the newspaper "El Pais". "This scenario will also depend on the Champions League, because certain matches of this tournament will have to take place on weekends. We have started to cooperate with the leagues of Italy and Denmark, which still have to play 14 and 15 matches, respectively. Even before UEFA announced the postponement of the European Championship, we started to look at the schedule. We didn't really expect a different decision," added J. Tebas.
