Veteran John Terry does not plan to say goodbye to London's "Chelsea" club. The Englishman extended his contract with the team led by Jose Mourinho for another year.

The defender, who has been playing for the "Blues" main team since 1998, was linked with a departure, but "Chelsea" did not want to let go of the experienced player's services.

"I am delighted that my contract with Chelsea has been extended and when it comes to an end it will mark 20 years since I have been in this team," Terry said officially on the website.

This season, the 33-year-old footballer played an important role in the club. On the field, the defender appeared 47 times and scored two goals.

J. Terry has won 14 titles with Chelsea. The former England national team captain once lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy.
