Leicester City lost even theoretical hopes of remaining in the English Premier League over the weekend and will be fighting in the Championship again next season.

After an unsuccessful season, longtime "Foxes" face Jamie Vardy reached out to the team's fans, apologizing for such a performance in the Premier League.

I don’t even know what to say. There are no words that can describe my state after such a season.

We have no excuses. Both the players and the whole club simply messed up. We are not going to hide from that.

I have been at this club for a very long time, and we have experienced both highs and lows. This season has been simply shameful for me personally and for the entire team.

We are very hurt, and I know that you feel the same way. I want to apologize to the fans for such a season," wrote J. Vardy on his social media account.
