London's "Arsenal" defender Jack Wilshere will undergo surgery in the near future, which could see the Englishman sidelined until the end of December.
The 23-year-old footballer broke his fibula in August after a collision during training. Although "Gunners" coach Arsene Wenger had previously expressed confidence that Wilshere would return after the international break, it now appears that the injury is serious.
A specialist from France has now admitted that the defender's rehabilitation is not progressing as expected, so he will have to go under the surgeon's knife.
Last season, Wilshere, who is constantly plagued by injuries, underwent ankle surgery, which kept him out of action for six months.
