Edgaras Jankauskas returns to big football - the forward has signed a contract with the Russian second-tier club "Fakel" in Voronezh.
"He is in excellent physical condition. He arrived to us, we talked, and quickly shook hands," Fakel coach Konstantin Sarsania told "sovsport.ru".
The 35-year-old Jankauskas left the American club "New England Revolution" last year and announced that due to injuries, he was hanging up his boots. However, the offer from Russia made him change his mind.
The Lithuanian, who won the Champions League with "Porto", has also played for teams such as CSKA Moscow, Torpedo Moscow, Brugge, Real Sociedad, Benfica Lisbon, Nice, Hearts, Larnaca, Belenenses, and Skonto Riga.
