One of the mainstays of the England national team and London's Chelsea, Joe Cole, will not be changing teams in the near future. The 24-year-old footballer signed a new four-year contract with the capital team, which has won the English championship twice in a row.

Previously, J.Cole's contract was supposed to expire at the end of the next season, but the Englishman negotiated all the conditions during the ongoing World Cup in Germany and put his signature on a new and much longer contract.

Cole arrived at Chelsea in August 2003, when the team was still managed by Italian Claudio Ranieri, and was one of the first purchases of the new owner Roman Abramovich. The club received a £6.6 million compensation for the talent that represented the team for five years.

After Jose Mourinho took over the reins of the London club, J.Cole initially struggled to establish himself in the starting lineup, but later became one of the key figures in the center of the "Blues" team.
