J.Cruyff: The "Barcelona" problem is Neymar © EuroFootball.com

"Barcelona" icon Johan Cruyff criticized Neymar, who in his opinion is not worthy of receiving a higher salary than other Catalan players at such a young age.

Neymar arrived at "Barca" in the summer of 2013. Despite being only 21 years old, he became one of the highest-paid players in the club.

"Barcelona's problem is Neymar," said the former Catalan strategist.

"There is no doubt that he is a great player, but signing a contract with a 21-year-old footballer and paying him the highest salary of all players who have won everything is not possible.

"Barcelona" already has the best footballer in the world on their team (Lionel Messi - ed.) and a 21-year-old young man cannot be the main player in the team. It is impossible in football. Maybe when he turns 26, but certainly not at 21," Cruyff concluded.

The Brazilian, who cost 57 million euros to the Spanish vice-champions, scored 12 goals in 33 matches played in all competitions this season.

Neymar earns 120,000 pounds sterling a week at "Barca." The same amount goes to Dani Alves and Xavi, while L. Messi earns 220,000 pounds sterling and is at the top."
