J.Cruyffas: "T. Vilanova's health problems will not affect Barcelona" © EuroFootball.com

Former player and coach of the Catalonia team Johan Cruyff is convinced that the health problems that have struck Barcelona's head coach Tito Vilanova will not negatively affect the performance of his players.

According to the legendary Dutchman, the current Barcelona team is already very united, and the troubles they are facing will bring them closer together and make them even stronger.

"Of course, I was surprised by the unpleasant news from Barcelona. It is completely understandable that at the moment Tito's family and children are his greatest concern. I myself have experienced something similar and it was precisely my family that was the most important support during the toughest moments of my life. Family are the people who suffer the most," Cruyff explained in an interview with the radio station "RAC1."

However, the Dutchman is convinced that Tito Vilanova will be able to overcome the insidious disease and soon return to the helm of the team. According to him, the players of Barcelona will not allow themselves to relax and the quality of the team's game will certainly not diminish.

"This will not affect the team. Barcelona is already strong enough, and the troubles will bring them even closer together. The players themselves know what to do on the field, so everything will be fine. Any team leader is experienced enough, having spent many years in the club, so the loss of the coach will not knock the team off its course," said the legend of Barcelona.

Johan Cruyff is convinced that the reins of Barcelona will temporarily be taken over by a specialist who knows the team well, and who has both experience and patience.

"Jordi Roura has already worked at Barça before and knows the club very well. I don't see any reason not to trust him. Now there is one game left, and then there will be a break," the Dutchman pondered.

According to Johan Cruyff, the crucial moment for the Catalonia team will come in the second half of February, when the battles in the UEFA Champions League will resume and much will become clear in the battles for the titles of the Primera.
