The 19-year-old footballer's current contract was valid until 2018, but his buyout clause was only 18 million euros. After signing a new contract valid until 2020, the Spaniard's buyout clause increased to 50 million euros. J. Gaya was most interested in signing with Madrid's "Real" club, but "Manchester City" and London's "Arsenal" also showed interest. Gaya made his debut in the main lineup of "Valencia" already in 2012.
