J.Guardiola: can't compete with "Real" and "Barcelona" clubs because of newcomers

"Man City" coach Josep Guardiola talks about the team's diminished chances to compete in the player market.

The latest case happened quite recently when the team lost the battle for Amsterdam's "Ajax" talent Frenkie de Jong to "Barcelona".

"The transfer market and players' salaries have skyrocketed. After Neymar's move to PSG, it has increased at an unbelievable pace.

That's why we have been nurturing the team composition for so long.

Now, you have to be faster and smarter to acquire players.

We need to adapt to the situation - it has become difficult to acquire top-level athletes for a good price. It has become almost impossible. Perhaps we have to believe in young players and allow them to develop.

As I have said many times, it is impossible to compete with Real Madrid and Barcelona. Due to their prestige, incredible leagues, and great championship clubs," Guardiola said.
