"Man City" team players and staff were very unfriendly received at the "Anfield" stadium.
Before the first UEFA Champions League quarterfinal match, "Liverpool" fans threw bottles at the "citizens" bus and damaged it.
The match, which may have been influenced by this incident, ended with a 3-0 victory for the hosts.
After the game, "Man City" coach Pep Guardiola expressed his anger:
"Yesterday we were warned that this would happen, and it did. I didn't expect that because I am new here.
Usually, when the police know about a future attack, they try to prevent it.
About a year ago, there was an incident in Dortmund. You come here to play football and you cannot understand such a situation.
The bus was damaged. I didn't expect that a prestigious club like "Liverpool" could behave like this. Of course, it's not the team itself, but maybe two or three of its fans. I hope this won't happen again in the future."
