"Liverpool" defender Jordan Henderson has stated that he is ready to take on responsibility and fill the void left by the departure of Steven Gerrard.
"Every year I feel more mature and I want to take on a more significant role in the team. I have always wanted to have more responsibility, especially at this stage of my career. When I was appointed vice-captain, I always gave my all to the team and tried to learn as much as possible from Steven," Henderson said.
During the last "Premier" League season, the 25-year-old player scored 6 goals in 37 matches.
