"Liverpool", shaking up the player market, can now boast having the most expensive goalkeeper of all time among its ranks.
The English club did not spare 73 million euros for Brazil's Alisson and had to make a decision regarding the fate of Loris Karius in the team.
This was stated by the "Reds" coach Jurgen Klopp, who as of now does not intend to say goodbye to his compatriot.
"Of course, we acquired Alisson to be the main goalkeeper. Otherwise, it wouldn't be worth paying so much money.
From Karius's perspective, this move is not very good news. When you sign a contract with the main goalkeeper of the Brazilian national team, you don't need several weeks to prove your skills.
However, we have enough matches for everyone to play. Karius still has the opportunity to improve. He is a great goalkeeper and can show it in the future," Klopp said.
