"Liverpool" team coach Jurgen Klopp insists that he is not envious of the powerful newcomers surpassing their rivals.
This summer, their squad has been strengthened, as have the "Premier" clubs, while the "Reds" have so far only added 17-year-old defender Sepp van den Berg to their ranks.
Speaking before the friendly match against "Napoli" on Sunday, Klopp said:
"I cannot comment on the actions of other teams. Meanwhile, we, like everyone else, have bills to pay.
We have already invested money in this team. Although it may seem otherwise now, we do not live in a fantasy world where you get what you want just by wishing for it.
We cannot do that constantly.
It seems that in the world there are four clubs that can do this just by wanting to: Madrid's "Real", "Barcelona", "Man City" and PSG. Whatever they need, they do it. We cannot compare ourselves to them - that's the situation," said J. Klopp.
"This is not criticism. I know people will say I am envious, but I'm not."
