Just steps away from an agreement with English teams, Ukrainian Yevhen Konoplyanka revealed why he ultimately chose La Liga team Sevilla.
Linked with Liverpool, Tottenham, and West Ham United, the winger insisted that he did not like the style of play promoted in the Premier League.
"If I were two and a half meters tall and unable to control the ball, maybe then I would have turned to England. Here, in Spain, a much more technical football is played and it is the best. I do not regret choosing Sevilla, especially since I did not have many offers."
"I was also interested in Atletico Madrid and Premier League clubs. Before the final word, I was under immense pressure and even lost three kilograms of weight," Konoplyanka said.
