On Thursday, the coach of the German national football team announced the preliminary lineup of 30 players who will travel to the World Cup in Brazil.

The final team lineup, Joachim Loew will have to announce by the second day of June.

The preliminary lineup did not include a place for "Fiorentina" striker Mario Gomez, who has been plagued by injuries this season. Joachim Loew emphasized that Mario Gomez, who has spent very little time on the field this season, is not sufficiently prepared to represent the national team.

It was unclear whether Real Madrid defender Sami Khedira, who has had similar problems, would make it into the national team, but the coach, after assessing the risk, included him in the preliminary lineup.

For the first time, Joachim Loew included a group of young players in the national team - Kevin Volland, Erik Durm, Leon Goretzka, and Max Meyer. They will have the chance to prove their worth in friendly matches against Poland.
