The German Football Federation announced that Joachim Low has decided to extend his contract with the national team until 2018.
The 55-year-old coach has been leading the German national team since 2006. For many years, J. Low did not succeed in triumphing in FIFA and EURO tournaments, but this summer he finally managed to win the World Cup by defeating Argentina in the final.
In 2008, J. Low also managed to reach the European Championship final, but the Spaniards were superior there. The selection process for EURO 2016 for the team led by J. Low is not going perfectly so far. They currently occupy second place in Group D and are three points behind the Poles.
"I am very happy," said J. Low. "We still have high goals and are very motivated."
In January, J.Low was named the best coach of 2014 at the "Ballon d'Or" awards.
